Tortoises will do that a lot. They always want what's on the other side of the wall or fence. My leopard does that up and down his outside enclosure, he want the rest of the yard too. He also does not eat as well during the summer months. Sometimes on, sometimes off. Try changing up his enclosure. It will help to get him to investigate his new arranged enclosure. I would also try to get him outside into an enclosure for the warm days.
He wants outside. They can sense that the weather is warming and he's anxious to get outside and find a mate, traipse around looking for food, explore the great outdoors - pick one.
Russians like to roam, they have large territories in the wil.d Looking at the video maybe he?she thinks th wall paper is open space and is curious. Try putting up some dark paper to block his view of the scenery.
Thank you guys for your input, i feel bad for him when I found him pilling up with other torts in tiny box at local petsmart I brought him home right away. I built him big enclosure so that he feels like home.
Now he is restless, as some of you said that he might want to explore more, then should I allow him to roam in my house? Or at least in one room with clean floor? And hide greens for him to find and eat??
It looks hot and dried out in his enclosure . It maybe to hot . I would add some water to the substrate and check his temperature in the enclosure . But if he knows there is a great big world outside of his table he will always try to get out .
So after all feedback, and tips I revamped his enclosure. Moved his den to different side, more greens to give him a forest feel... And more area for him to explore.
