We get plenty of different mud bees or mud daubers. I get them in window frames sometimes or under the decks. This is the 1st time I ever saw one of such different colors!

I've never seen anything like that. I'm a beekeeper and I do rescues/removals from time to time of regular honey bees, but that there is something else entirely. I agree: Neat!

Have you actually seen the critter? I would think some sort of wasp.

I would love to see a picture of what creature is going in and out of that nest. With multiple round openings, it doesn't seem like it would be bees or wasps. Usually their nests have just one opening for entrance and egress.

Have you noticed any droppings under it? Such as from mice, bats, or flying squirrels?

I can't really see droppings as they would land on top of the AC in that window. I do want to see who built it though but since it's 17' off the ground outside. I'm forced to do my recon from inside the house. I'm not quite sure I want to open that window into my home!

I was really hoping someone would say "That's a so & so".

Whoever said Fish food, nailed it! LOL
