Western hermanns canada oddity

Hello everyone,

I've been doing some research lately and I cannot seem to find ONE western hermanns in Canada.

The laws in Canada for tortoise imprint is only if you are a zoo or research facility. It's on the government website. But it just seems extremely odd that there is not ONE. Especially considering there are some Egyptian tortoises around in Canada and as far as I know they are much rarer in the wild and yet in America westerns seem to be pretty readily available.

Am I going crazy or is this reality? Does anyone know anyone that has any or how one could even acquire?

I'm sorry to tell you this, but your government sucks. It sucks really bad. Don't feel bad though, ours isn't much better. The freedoms we used to have that make our country better than any other on earth have been steadily eroding over time, and its getting bad here too.

I really don't know what is or isn't available in your country, but I can't recall any Canadians talking about Westerns up there.

No apology needed. The government sucks BIG TIME lol. I know it. But I am able to actually successfully get an Egyptian. The problem is I think I have to go with a brand new hatchling most I see are pyramided slightly. Unless they naturally are or something?

I think there are very little breeders in Canada over all. @_The_Beast_ can probably elaborate.
