Anyone know what this weed with the reddish leaves next to the crabgrass is? And is it safe for my CDTsImageUploadedByTortoiseForum1369692536.962130.jpg?

That is spotted spurge. It is a favorite with desert tortoises because it is a plant that grows in the desert where the tortoises come from. However, it is high in oxalates and not really a favored food.

We have a resource right here on the forum under the Tortoise Diet and Food category:

Its not a complete guide to plant I.D. as it's always under construction.

There is a really good source for plant I.D.:

This is an excellent site!
