What is this?

I found this little guy by my house today. He looks like a box turtle because of the little hinge on his belly but I'm not really sure what kind he is? Can someone help me? RE: What is this?

How cute! Look closely at his feet. If they are webbed, he is aquatic. He looks like a mud or musk turtle from what I can see based on his nose and shell. They are aquatic. I have three of them in my habitat in Georgia.

Yeah he came out of his shell shortly after I posted this, he's a mud turtle, but he's missing a front foot. Poor little guy!

Mud turtles are water turtles. Get him into some water and if you don't have a pond, river, stream or water source in your neighborhood, he might belong to one of your neighbors.

ImageUploadedByTortForum1373197692.496058.jpg I found a mud turtle a couple minutes ago! I see it a lot in the creek by my house. I can tell because it has a wound on its carapace.
