I need give names to my amazing tortoises. I have two hatchlings: a Leopard tortoise and a Sulcata tortoise.

Please help me to name them. What name would you give them?

If they are boys... to me they look like "Snoopy" and "Skipper". If they are girls... maybe "Poppy" and "Missy". These are a few names I've kept in mind for my future torts to come! (And Mrs. Howell... if you've seen Gilligan's Island...) :) Congratulations on your new babies, I must say they are some of the cutest baby torts I've seen since I've joined this forum!! :) And I love that you put little dinosaurs and figurines with then... super cute!

I like to give some suggestions.
Leon for the leopard, it is quiet unisex name.
Sumo for the sulcata, as he / she will grow into a big giant tortoise, and of course, strong like sumo lol.

Thank you very much GingerLove!

Usually I put some "toys" in the habitat with the intention that my "munchkins" (babies tortoises) not get bored. Always with supervision, I hope it work.

Hey Fredkas, Sumo is a very funny name and proper one for big giant tortoise. I love it, thanks.

Leon in my language is a lion and I believe is a curious and pretty name for the Leopard tortoise.

I have noted your suggestions to take my decision. Thank you very much. :D

Welcome to the forum! Your baby torts are too cute! :<3: I say why not use name from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Leo, Mikey, Don, and Raf. My Russian tort was named Steve after Steve Irwin (a young boy cared for Steve before he made his way to me!).

Very cute babies! I'm really bad with names so nothing clever from me. I did however want to comment on the toys in the enclosure. I think your babies would much rather enjoy live plants in there to nibble on or hide under. Remember those little hatchlings' main goal in life is to survive till they get big enough where they don't have to be so scared of predators. Keep them warm and humid, soak daily, feed at least 2x day and give enough food for them to always have some left over, give good UVB light and you'll have thriving tortoises
