My friend went to twycross zoo in the UK, saw some photos and came across this fella.. what speces is it?

I believe it is a cooter of some type, very nice marking.

Its pretty flat. I wonder how is was raised to become so flattened. If you'll notice the tiny scute right in the middle at the front over the head. That's called a nuchal scute. One difference between the Aldabran and the Galapagos is the absence of that nuchal scute in the Galop.

It looks to me like it was raised too dry and too cold, plus possible MBD... hence the flattened appearance.

Giant Pancake tortoise, Flapjackerus maplesyrupii :p

Thats one very flat Aldabra tortoise. Thats definately a MBD problem.
