Got this from a co-worker but not sure what species it is.... He said he's had it 2 years and it hasn't grown much... Any help is appreciated.... Thanks in advance.

That my friend is a african spurred tortoise aka Sulcata, it's the 3rd largest species of tortoise in the world. Of course it's still young it can take up to 5-10 years for it to be fully grown.

It looks very dry and you can see the shell has pyramided a sign of being raised too dry.

You should soak your tortoise for 20 mins daily.

What kind of enclosure do you have?
Because you are going to need a LOT of space... Sulcatas need to be kept warm at all times, basking 35-37c with a background heat of around 80f day and night.
Send up some pics of your enclosure and we will be able to give tips.

It's a Sulcata, and it should be much bigger than that if it was being properly cared for.
