What turtle is this?

Found this girl in my pool. She was huge. I live in Louisiana. She was bigger than my foot and i wear a size 11. She did not have red ears.

Looks like it might be a painted turtle. We can tell better if we can see the underside too.

That's a cooter. Hard to tell what variety with all the algae . Looks like a hieroglyphic cooter or Florida cooter from what I can see

I didn't read that you're from LA , so am I ! Lol that's definitely a mobile cooter. A large female probably out looking for a place to lay her eggs.
