Thanks. I got told he was but just thought I'd check.

I also got told he was a he, I've named him Sheldon.

Any advice on how to tell the age of a Russian? :)

The size of individual animals may differ due to various factors like diet, season length, CB, WC, LTC, etc. you can take a guess, but that's about it.

As far as (his) gender, send us a pic of his tail, from underneath, and we will determine that for you :)

The tort looks female now with that tiny tail, but all Russian torts have small tails when they're young making them appear female. At under 4" scl, your tort is likely too small to determine sex. I'd wait until its at least 5" before calling it.

Haha I've been calling it a he.

Any guesses roughly on the age anyone?

I say girl. My male at 4"had a huge tail already.

Age? If it was WC then my guess is anywhere from 4 to 10 or more years old. You just can't know...
