Hello,

My buddy here is probably banging with the others... but I just noticed those hits.
As no vet in my country who knows anything about them, can someone advice on how to fix it? And what might have caused it?

Thank you

They need to each have their own area. Tortoises don't want or need company, and keeping them together is stressful. Eventually one of them will be injured or killed.

Yes, I have them all together in a not very big tank... I will move them to the bigger ones and separate them as another one have a similar hit.

Can you please advice on how to heal those cracks?

How often do you soak your tortoises? The one with the damage looks awfully dry. They should be soaked for a half an hour or longer every other day or more often. They need to soak in WARM water that is only as deep as where the top and bottom shells come together. Because this is so shallow the water will become too cold very quickly. Watch closely and frequently change the cold water for warm. Do Not allow your tortoise to become chilled from cold water.

The damage has come from the other tortoise and this one ramming into each other, or from some other animal attacking your tortoises.
Separate the tortoises immediately to stop further damage. If you suspect it is from other animals (rats possibly?) that are getting into the enclosure and attacking your tortoises, discover how they are gaining access and seal it off so they can no longer get into the enclosure and bother your tortoises.

It will take a very long time to heal the damage. The shell has been broken off and it grows back very slowly. Keep it clean, do not peel off any pieces that look loose, let them fall off on their own. Make sure you add calcium to their diet to encourage shell and bone growth. Also make sure they get the right amount of UVB light to help with calcium absorption.

Please post a picture of the damage to the other tortoise, and some pictures of their enclosure.

The First thing is to separate them and provide proper space. Your not going to fix anything with them still being in a stressful environment and where injuries are happening. The problem is they are together not just the cracks. I would imagine that Cold Pressed Coconut oil being applied would be very beneficial, help Hydrate the Keratin of the shell to promote healing and growth, antibacterial properties in the oil will also be helpful. As mentioned this will be a long process for healing but it will NOT start until you separate them.

This is damage from something chewing on them. They can't do that sort of damage to each other. Its most likely a dog, but could be a wild canid of some sort if you have those around.

There is nothing you can do about it now, other than prevent it from getting worse. Time and good health will heal it. Here is the correct care info:

Yes. At first I thought it was from ramming each other but I took a closer look after I read your post, Tom, and you can see individual holes from canine teeth.

The tell tale sign for me is when there are opposing marks top and bottom.
