Hi,

After reading many posts on this forum, I know that it is perfectly alright to feed wheat grass (cat grass) to baby leopard tortoises.

However, when I look up the nutrition information about wheat grass online it says it has 27% protein. Is it still okay to feed them the wheat grass? or is this too much protein for them? Also how often should this be fed to baby leopards tortoises?

Thanks!

Don't be afraid to feed a little protein to a Leopard. Especially since it's coming from a grass. That cat grass will be fine as part of the varied diet. You could leave it in the enclosure for natural grazing and still feed her other meals a day.

Protein was usually avoided for fear of pyramiding.
Mine get protein but are still smooth since they are raised well hydrated.

Wheat grass is fine for them, and protein is not bad for them.
