I got the correct bulb, a 5.0 tube bulb. However i discovered it doesn't cover much ground in the enclosure(2 feet out of 24 in the area). I've tried adjusting the fixture so it's higher up, however it always falls. Should i leave it as is, or adjust it. If adjusting it, how?

What type of tube?
A T5 or a T8?
Through a screen or not?
With that information I can give you a rough idea about the height you need.
I own a SOLARMETER

Its a T5, and theres no screen.
A T5 10.0 will give a reading of 3ish at 20"
You can make a frame out of wood or thin PVC pipes and hang the light over the enclosure with chains.
But that wont work with a closed chamber enclosure. Youd have to enclose the light like a tent or a greenhouse

hmm, is there anyway to increase the size it covers without replacing a bulb? mines a T5 5.0
A 5.0 should be ok at around 10"
The light doesn't need to cover the entire width of the enclosure.
You'd have to buy another, wider fixture to cover the whole top
