So I Just Noticed That My Redfoot Has This White Apperance In The Eyes? It's Almost Like In the "Cracks" Of His Skin, It's Not Gooey, Sticky or Anything To The Touch. It's Just There...Here's Some Pictures. Yes, It's That White Around His Eyes, Look Closely.
Pictures are not clear enough to tell... But it appears to be ocular fluid from the eyes that has dried and left the salts behind... Can this be rinsed away with water?
You see that a lot in desert-type tortoises. I've never seen it in RF tortoises. But in the desert-type tortoises it means the tortoise is being kept too dry. Soaking the tortoise and moistening the substrate usually makes it go away.
Cover the top of the bin, less air flow, spray every few hours with warm water, more water in environment to evaporate, dampen substrate, then warn partically sealed environment, lots of ways...
