Hi does anyone know what is causing these lighter coloured patches on my Hermanns head? The vet thought he may have an abscess but 3 weeks of antibiotics didn't help. They don't seem to bother him at all, he's eating, sleeping, stomping, peeing and pooping for England. Any help would really be appreciated.

I've had him 6 months and he lives alone, there's nothing sharp in his enclosure that he could have injured himself on. The patches weren't there when I got him.

Did you get him from a breeder or reseller? Do you mind sharing who the vendor was?
When did the patches appear? Have they gone away and come back, at all?

He came from a pet shop in Cornwall that specialises in reptiles. The patches appeared about 6 weeks ago, they do fade slightly but then come back. They don't seem to be spreading

We've seen just a few (maybe three??) members in the UK mention something like patches or lesions in the last few weeks. I think they were on different species, but I don't remember for sure. Nothing I'm aware of to connect them. And no reason to think there would be any connection whatsoever to the yellow bumps we've been seeing on baby sulcatas in the U.S.

I'm tagging @mastershake for his thoughts, especially if the patches didn't go away with antibiotics.
