Will mating activity slow or stop as summer approaches

I have a male and two female russians that live in a large backyard environment with many Burroughs and hiding spots. I introduced the females last year in the late April / early May timeframe and the male just seemed to always run away from them. From time to time if he was near them he would bob his head and then bail. But this spring has been very different, he is very aggressive and relentless with his bobbing and biting and mating activity. I'm in the Phx area and even though its late Feb it has been mid to high 70's so spring is here. I am going to separate him but eventually would like to have them all open together. Question is, will his aggressive mating attempts slow down or stop as it heats up and we approach summer?

Usually… Sometimes… Maybe…

There is only one way to find out. All russians are different. Some are hyper-aggressive and some are fairly mild-mannered in comparison. Spring hormones definitely get them going and summer heat in Phoenix usually shuts them down to some degree, but its all guesswork at this point.

By the way, I highly recommend an underground shelter of some sort for summer time heat. Like this:

And hello. Welcome.

Thank you very much. Yes I have many under ground boroughs for them and a large area that is sheltered from the sun. I also in the 100 degree+ weather will put shade cloth over their boroughs. Thanks again for the response.
