Will this bother my tortoise at night?

I have a red heating bulb and I am wondering if it will bother my tortoise at night. It gives off quite a lot of red light. Just wondering if the enclosure should be completely dark at night or if red light is fine! Thank you for any answers in advance! I am going to call @Tom to Help me out!

It should be completely dark at night. Replace it with a ceramic heat emitter.

Yeah. What Steve said. Also, run it through a thermostat.

Red lights can also confuse torts and they will try to eat things they shouldn't.
