So I've had a box turtle hatchling for about a month. While she eats and makes 'messes' everyday if not several times a day, her weight has stayed the exact same. I'm not sure how old she is but her plastron is less than 2" (I've never measured but I know she's small) and she weights around 25 grams- always. She also has an injury so maybe all of the nutrients are going towards healing and not growing but just wanted to ask in case anyone has any suggestions.

I've had several baby box turtles without any injury eat like crazy and yet not gain a gram for weeks on end. Then suddenly they gain a gram or two and hold that weight, then gain four grams, then six. If it's eating and the wound is repairing it is doing good. My adult with a cracked plastron easily consumes twice what my normal adults eat, yet is gaining weight quite slowly. Like you, I assume the shell repair is using up a lot of nutrients.
