It's sad that on places like Facebook people are still insisting sulcatas should be raised dry. With all the proof of there that humidity prevents pyramiding. I think it's an ego issue. Some people will just never be able to admit that they may have raised their own torts wrong.

The dry method has been the way it was done for decades. It is based on incorrect assumptions that were made long ago and continue to this day. It is difficult to break people out of what they've bee doing for two and a half decades. Some people are open minded and want to learn. Others don't.

All we can do is try, talk about it, and lead by example.

It's why we must all work together to eliminate misinformation, piece by piece, subject by subject and advertise this forum whenever we can.
It won't happen overnight, but it will happen.

The proof is in the pudding, as they say. Post photos of your tortoise's smooth growth and state that humidity and consistent hydration was the key to your tortoise turning out that way.

I DO think that ego plays a big part when it comes to proof and change!
