Hi I'm new to this I've just got a 10 month herman tortoise 2 weeks ago she seems to be doing OK eating and I'm bathing do gets fluid she laziest alot but does walk around too . Just couple times in morning she opens month make couple speaking small dounds they seems OK is this normal .upon 8 til 9 and lamp temp around 88 think you karen

One temp is not okay. Needs a basking light, use an incandescent flood bulb for basking that reaches temp at tortoise height of 95-100.
All over temp during the day should be 75-80 and night temps in the 70's. A fluorescent tube light for uvb.
Water should be available 24/7 in a low sided clay saucer.

Got temp on basking lamp 98 sheseems OK opens eyes eating and walks about a little just little worried as parts off the day has like a white shied . She eating and bathing well thank you replying it helps

Trmp from temp reading from bottom sanddoil is 98 should I higher lamp thank you
