It was finally warm today! I took Aioki out to explore my old garden area and he had a great time! Since it's supposed to be pretty warm on my days off this week, I wanna start getting his outdoor enclosure together.
I took wood shop in the 7th grade and was pretty good at it. I only ever made a small spice cabinet and a mock floor plan though, but my junior year I took an interior design class. I'm pretty good at crafting things as I'm a cosplayer and have made loads of props, but none in the department of woodworking.
My biggest concern with the enclosure is the amount of strays and wild animals that are in this area. I usually care for stray dogs and cats I find in the neighbourhood, so they all have a habit of coming to my house now. Then there's of course raccoons, skunks, squirrels, even a deer once. Even today while we were walking around the yard a stray cat ran up to us. I never picked him up so fast!
I'm just unsure of where to start with his enclosure. What wood to use, what all to put inside, how to keep unwanted visitors out?
I've attached a picture of the plot of land I plan on using, with Aioki for scale.
