Hi people. Today was the easiest day weather wise!!! I’m sure was 13 degrees out side and as I have a medium sized garden with high fencing the wind rarely effects the back garden. I’m assuming the garden is north facing as after dinner it’s stifeling on the summer today anyway in my outdoor enclosure in the cold frame was 24degrees so Rooney went out for his 1st hour an half of sunshine. That was IN the cold frame which will have a heat lamp too but not yet. As it was only an hour half at most But anyways. He /she looked happy to be out eating the weeds grown and ‘real’sun.

Lucky you! Same here in Belgium! temps below 0 during the day and at night -10 so all the guys are still sleeping here. Hopefully spring kicks in soon :)

It’s been down to minus 2 today though and a few inches of snow Typical Manchester. Freezing ha. I will always need an indoor setup

This will be the 1st summer so I have an outdoor enclosure setup over the winter which is basically a large indoor rabbit cage. I have made to measure a cold frame which covers just short of half the cage which has, or will have a basking lamp. From the info on this forums should be able to put outside when the weather is a constant stable temp. I think it’s about 16 degrees can anyone help on this? I will still have my indoor table setup for the night times

Mine reside outside permanently. They are hibernating now outside and I can sort of control it when they wake up. I assume it will be in the beginning of April, depending on the weather. I live in Belgium.

I don't really have a benchmark but if you would bring them from a nice warm indoor enclosure outside - I would bring them out once temps match and would wait until at least May when temps reach the 18-20C mark.

Good luck!
