Hello!
I have had my hatchling cherry head, Todd, for almost a week. He seems perfectly healthy, active and doing everything he should be. Today when I soaked him, I noticed these tiny white circles on his plastron. It doesnt look like shell rot, and I found an old thread addressing mystery white circles, but I was unable to view the images, so I couldn't be sure it was the same thing I am seeing here. Are these mystery tortoise "crop circles" or some kind of fungus?
He is about 1.5 months old. I have him on long fiber spagnum moss, in a 10 gal aquarium ( I known its small, I'm currently ordering an AP enclosure for him) with a 100 w mvb for the day and a 60 w CHE at night. Night time temps 78-81. Day temps for the warm side is 94-97 degrees, cool side 78-81. Humidity has been in the %80s and %90s generally, sometimes falling into the mid as %60s when I get home in the evening without spraying the enclosure for several hours.I have tin foil covering my screen lid.
He is eating parsley, romain, grated carrot, yellow squash and radish greens and a small amount of soaked mazuri in with the diced veggies every couple meals.
Thanks for any info!
