I wondered that too, and when I went to move it to "articles" I see that "advanced" is directly under "articles." So maybe a slip of the finger?

I meant the previous post regarding what to name a chelonian if you don't know its gender.

I think dinosaurs are advanced for people that worry over what to name their tortoise, no finger slip. Fully intentional. You might consider moving what to name my tortoise to the 'trivial bull$hit' sub forum. But then again identity is all the concern for people and how they are labeled, so why not project that onto our shelled friends too. Then we can take them to chelonian psychologists to have time sorting out the crisis they have over the identity we put on to them. All the while they continue to get pyramided, MBD, malnutrition, and dehydrated because we were focused on the gender identity crisis of out shelled little surrogate children.

Yes I am having fun with this, take it seriously, NOT.

I've been falling down on the job -

(that one has nothing to do with being sad because I've fallen down on the job, just thought it was funny)

I transferred about 10 threads out of "Advanced" and there are many more to go, but don't have time right now. I'll continue cleaning it up later. Sorry.

Yeap, part of the act is to have crib notes on what hands are in rank of highest to lowest. It does not work more than once though.
What's the point of that then ( If it only works once). You got to have something that works all the time.

Is it OK if I call my tortoise "Flintstone", or do you think he would take offence???
Seriously, I guess I am bipolar or something like that because I had fun on the "what to name my tortoise" thread and I also found the dinosaur tortoise post interesting enough to try to plough through it! Not that I would have anything illuminating to contribute.

Bwahahaha is there really a "Trivial Bull$heet sub forum" ? Perhaps consider moving the "Can my tortoise eat pancakes" post there too o_O

Yeah, when you hear all the stuff going on in the world, too much to consider, and then you read someone getting worked up over tortoise names, it re-centers me. I really don't know if it's all that important or not. It is about the person seeking the name and not the tortoise. I recall as a much younger person sorting out that things are, simply by your belief in them, that I found better how to conduct myself. I don't believe tortoises I take care of care about names, it's about me if I worry about it, so I don't. I do worry about their diet, water, and enclosure climate. When they give us eggs I figure I might have it dialed in, as least roughly.

I do indeed have a few tortoises with pet names, but most do not have any.
