Judging by the pictures floating around from a reptile expo showing LLL Reptiles putting boxes of animals in the back of their truck in wet/rainy conditions and leaving a ton of trash and dead animals behind I wont be giving them any of my money. Nothing more than a reptile mill.

Can you please provide the link(s) and picture(s) of what you are claiming?

I am sure many others that are not aware of this, like myself, would be most interested to see and learn more about this.

Absolutely. It was originally posted to Washington and Oregon reptile classifieds. It seems to be taken down but it was all over my Instagram feed. I have had other people tell me similar situations as well. I took a screen shot of it on my phone through Instagram. The very first was removed from what I heard.

I'm not saying this one post proves anything but I've heard this about them in the past. Just thought I'd share what reptile people who aren't necessarily tortoise people think about them.

Uhhh, horrible picture. What ties it to any particular vendor, at what show, when?

Getting back to the OP http://www.reptilesupplyco.com/ it has been my experience these guy tend to have the best price on everything they sell, at least for the things I look to buy. T5HO fixture are best price at ZenHydro or some place like that.
It was a screen shot so the quality of the picture isn't up to me...

I think I have only purchased a couple reptiles from them and wouldn't again. However, I can't say the deaths were their fault or the breeders they came from. I just know they weren't mine.

Regarding those screen shots - remember folks, there are two sides to every story.

I meant content not focus, sorry for the confusing comment. What is photographed is horrible, but I don't see any evidence to tie it to LLL.

To be more disclosed, I live in the area of their retail stores in San Diego county. I've been to many of their stores. I don't buy from them for what I have seen.

From my experience with visiting one of their stores, they have great prices for reptile merchandise. I frequently purhcase my mazuri from them. However, I would never buy an animal from them directly.

I've only had good experiences too. Never bought any actual reptiles from them, just supplies like fluorescent lights.

What bothers me now is that I had made my earlier comment on a different thread simply to share where I've purchased lights from. All of a sudden it's been taken by the OP and used in this new thread to bash a company I have no issues with.

I reported/asked a moderator to create a new thread to talk about this incident because we, @xphare and I, were clearly going off topic. I wanted to see if anyone else had anything to add to this incident and was hoping that @LLLReptile would maybe reply and share their side of the story. There really isn't a lot of go on this story other than one Instagram post getting re-posted over and over.

A breeder's insight, one that frequents and sells their specimens in reptile trade shows would also be helpful in explaining how a typical vendor may operate during these trades shows. What type of limitations they have and what they're allowed to use during the trade shows to keep their specimens heated and fed.

I'm still waiting/hoping for a reply before I plan to add anything to this discussion.

I can understand that, but why pull my comment to use to start this thread? It's not about the problem that has been brought up, I was only recommending a place to buy lights from.

This thread could have been started by the OP with the pictures that were provided. I've had no bad personal experiences with this company and have no knowledge of the issue that has been brought up. I'd much rather be left out of it, if that's possible.

I suggest reporting the first post to a moderator and stating your case.

I don't disagree with what you're saying. I've just seen so many people talking about this picture. Who knows. When I go on their website it does feel like a ton of random animals just brought in to make $$$

Yes they buy and resale a lot and import a lot of wild caught animals for sure and have a very large wholesale side all reasions I now avoid them for animals
