New UVB HELP QUICK!!

Hello! i have a 48" UVB Reptisun 10.0 and a 24" Reptisun 10.0 and the 24" is very dull compared to the 48" is this a problem should i return it? please let me know soon so i can know if it is okay for him thanks!

Should be close to the same level of brightness. Try adjusting the bulb a bit. Sometimes it will kick on. Could be the fixture too.

We have tried adjusting it like turning it and putting it in and out. what should i do?

Replace the bulb. If it still doesn't work, then you'll know its the fixture. Do you have any other 24" bulbs around to test the fixture?

Don't worry too much about a couple weeks with no UV. They store it in their bodies for a long time and you can always use a supplement with D3. After many years, Will finally convinced me that tortoises CAN use dietary D3.

I can return the bulb and get a new one if that doesn't work i will replace the fixture. thanks for your help i'll let you know how it works out!

So i just went to Petsmart and got a replacement and and Walmart to get a led because the tube needs two and thats why the first one was dim. so i plugged in the new one and guess what..... It was a ZooMed Flora for plat growth in a Reptisun box :( so tomorrow i will go back and get a new one... Oh Petsmart.
