Hi all,
First time posting so let me know if I've posted this in the wrong forum or point me in the general direction of what I need to include in my post for next time
I've had my Russian tortoise for nearly 5 years now since he was a hatchling.
Today while eating I noticed on one side of his beak there was a fair portion of his beak chipped away... I've included photos of either side (chipped side & normal side) of his beak in this thread and highlighted the chipped area.
I don't think it's mouth rot as he's got a healthy appetite (as always) and there's no smell/it's not soft to the touch and no discharge, I think he may have chipped it on his slate, my question is does this require the attention of a vet? Does the beak grow back, so will it over time fill back in?
Thanks in advance!
