The greenhouse arrived earlier today. It’s a little big but I guess that’s good ?‍♀️ Definitely going to get another enclosure that can fit the greenhouse soon. Currently weighs 66 grams, I've had him for 47 days. I also poured in about 2 cups of water into the bark/mulch, hopefully the humidity will go back up. (Got a new hygrometer, coming in 2 days)

Haha, I’m planning on buying another house in a year or two so I’m definitely gonna have to build a shed.

E77D977F-045C-496A-832D-DA801C6AA46A.jpegThis is his current closure, I’m gonna get him a new “tub” since I realized that it was super tiny compared to his greenhouse. I know Tom doesn’t like to use humidifiers but I just put in one to help with the humidity, without the humidifier it was only 40%-50% humidity so I think the humidifier is pretty helpful. I’m using a warm mist humidifier by the way (only one is on). I took him outside at about 7 am (when he wakes up) since the humidity is usually very high outside. I also got him a Thermo pro tp49 hygrometer.

The humidity is usually around 80%, a little bit low today but still ok, going to turn one of the humidifiers off. Temperature is pretty hot under the basking spot but he rarely sleep under it (usually in the tunnel). I’m gonna add some more mulch so he can dig a little. Thinking of trying eco earth ? I’ve heard the bricks are better but slightly messy.

Current humidity is 84% even with one humidifier on. I’m gonna keep both humidifiers on until 80% and just turn them off. Once it gets to 65%, I’ll just turn them on so he doesn’t have to constantly breathe in the “fog”.

you should scroll down to the bottom of each page here. At the bottom you’ll see other people’s posts and conversations to get more info or even better info (updated)

But try to scroll down and you’ll see on the left little pictures of each person asking questions... ?☺️

Oh my god thank you! I’ve seen that caresheet a few times but always stuck to the sulcata caresheets ?

I am so sorry . I didn’t know you already HAD the sulcata caresheet. KEEP REFERRING TO THAT ONE! You can read the one I sent too...
but you would do better for your baby if you follow the “Sulcata” sheet. It is more specific to your needs.
Keep up the great work and .... keep posting pictures !!!! You baby is Gorgeous!!!! ?☺️

he is so cute!!.... every time I see him!!
I want to give him a raspberry on his back!
????
Looks like your doing a wonderful caring job.
And yes, your right clamp lamps can fall and cause a fire if not worse. There is a lady on here that went back to work recently. Her first day back she came home and found her little one dead under the heat lamp THAT HAD FALLEN ON TOP OF HIM!!! ?
I still can’t believe it I think of her horror every day....
so I am very glad you wrapped it around the cage pole... however.... might that be a little to close to his shell??
if you find he doesn’t go under it or runs away from it , that might be the answer.
Just a suggestion...?
But keep your eye on his actions...
??

Oh no.. he usually sleeps under the basking spot (97 degrees), the slate never really gets hot for some reason which might be good?? I’ll try out different slates for the basking spot. The lamp fixture is almost 9 inches away from the slate, I think the angle made it look closer?? I’ll be sure to keep an eye on where he’s basking. Thank you for responding ?

Just got a HUGE box of durian (5 durian fruits in total), planning on sharing some with cheese. He’s never tried fruit (besides a bit of squash) so I plan on giving him about a small teaspoon. I’ve heard it’s okay for Redfoots so it must be okay as a treat once a month or so.

You and I have made the same mistake...you are posting the care sheet for 'temperate' species, Russians and Hermanni etc. Not Sulcata
