Good evening everyone!

Both of us have spent a lot of the day sleeping with Jacky not being fully out of hibernation and me being ill.

Natrah and Jacky
Sorry to hear you're not well Natrah. I hope you're able to keep warm enough. I have a heated throw which is great for using on the sofa to warm yourself rather than the room. They may be reduced now.
Any progress with the boiler? Not having hot water is not good especially if you're not feeling well.

Good evening everyone!

I'm so sorry, Natrah, that you are ill - is it anything to do with your lack of heating? I hope you will feel better tomorrow - Jacky will be expecting a lot of fuss over her when she is fully awake. I have felt even shakier than usual, myself, and am really hoping I shall be hearing about my next injections very soon.
Zola had a short walk to look at the sea, but it was very grey and cold, so we then went on a drive around the area, looking for flowers and lambs. We saw daffodils lining many of the little roads -lovely - but very few lambs anywhere. In fact, most of the lovely green fields didn't even have any sheep in them ! The girl who looks after the lambs in the field opposite our house had already told us there wouldn't be any lambs this year because of someone being ill in her family, but I would expect other farms to have lambs by now.
Zola was rather cross again about not getting his breakwater walk, but he did have a good stroke by the fire.
Please get better soon, Natrah - lots of love to you, Jacky, Angel Daisy and all our forum friends from Angie and Zola xxxxxxxxxx

Mine was regular old surgery, no lasers. It literally took under ten minutes. The only thing that was even close to uncomfortable was they put a little roll of something absorbent and disposable between the eye and the lid to keep it stable and absorb any moisture/water/tears. It has to be dry to keep stuff sterile and let the cut place seal back up when they're done. They make the tiny cut, in my case they vacuumed the yucky lens out and put the new rolled up one in inside a tiny tube/straw (whereupon it flips itself open, they pull the tube out, and I could immediately see super-well - though I was loopy from all the meds).
I don't get loopy often but for that I will. I already decided on sedation. Even if I know it's safe and easy, I get nervous with invasive medical procedures. Since I know this one is safe, I want to hold as still as possible and not be shaking in my shoes. 🤔😊

I've read it's the best way and the only way really. They can also make the new replacement lenses to accommodate your sight. Hence no need for glasses. They're still going to have to knock me out. Not because I don't want it. I'm excited and happy to have it. Isn't it wonderful what they can do for people nowadays. I just get nervous because I've had surgeries and medical procedures go south a few times.

Jeff, before 2022 people used to get visas just to cross the border in order to get cheap gas. And the other way around people would cross the border here to get cheap groceries like cheese. It was a whole thing.
In the bordering states with Canada. The U.S. citizens will cross into Canada to get their prescription meds filled. It stinks that meds in the U.S. cost so much.

Cheap drugs & borders....hmmm, sounds familiar doesn't it? I've been getting cheap drugs from across the border since 1973!

Seriously though, we as humans will need at some point to find a better way. Did you guys know that HALF of the entire planet eats rice......3 times a day, every single day? I guess when all you can do is scrape together enough for you and your family to eat, you don't worry too much of who is "in charge" or how to change that.

We had beautiful weather yesterday into the 60's! I took my little car out yesterday but with the top up...maybe today it will get warm enough to put it down!

In Wales our prescriptions are free, but in England they have to pay for them unless they have a GP in Wales and use a Welsh pharmacy. That's easier for English people who live along the border, but anyone further away couldn't just make a trip to Wales for prescription meds.

Many Welsh people would be happy to pay for prescriptions if it meant more money was put into the health service, but a lot also abuse the system by stockpiling repeat meds just because they can not because they need them. That causes a lot of waste which costs our NHS millions that could be better used.🤕

Good morning all. We're back to damp weather here and it's getting colder again - temps half of what they were on the weekend. I suppose spring weather is unpredictable so we just have to be ready for everything.

We have a very old saying here which is
' ne'er cast a clout till May be out' meaning keep wearing your winter clothes until the month of May, (when the May/Hawthorn tree blossoms at the start of summer). A clout was a cloth undergarment the peasants would sew themselves into and wear all through the winter and spring.
Thank goodness for heating and washing machines!

Have a good day. TTFN

Our indoor blooming petunia is loving our warming temps & sunshine. I rescued this volunteer plant last year from tge vegg garden. Not sure where the seed blew in from, but here we are many months later & it’s busting out in blooms!

Beautiful but I hope it doesn't get too cold here in the UK before I get my new boiler.

I'm just wondering if the wonderful weather I'm getting will get blown over to you by Sunday. 😊 That's the day our spring 🌼 🌱 is supposed to turn colder.😊

That would be lovely but unfortunately these colder temps are set to last well into next week, so maybe we're sending them to you! 🥶......sorry.

I have 4 lovely plants that my neighbours threw out and dumped behind a wall in the lane. They'd been tipped out of their pots and looked the worse for wear, but I could see there was still some life in them so I repotted them. A lavender, spider plant, ivy and cordyline all for free and thriving. I enjoy knowing I saved them.
