I decided to fill her Soaking pond today (day 4-5) and test out my filter and pump. It’s obviously leaching a lot so it’ll be some time before she can have access to it. But I’m happy with it so far! I cemented in a cage for the pump/filter so she can’t get to it. At the deepest point it’s only 6” so she can walk through it and out.

Idk if you can use one of the garden panels as a reference I wanted an area to put a pump that she couldn’t access I dug a bit daily for well over a week lol View attachment 390058
I'd be concerned about the small area you have fenced off. I totally trust a tortoise to get in trouble if at all possible, and that looks like something to fall into and not be able to get away from.

Thank you, seeing this gives me a better idea. I will probably skip the pump. You did a great job.
I see most don’t include the pumps. I like having the water filtering and circulating. If I skip a day of running the pump it gets so gross and I work a lot so this allows me to only drain clean and refill twice a week. Thankfully she hasn’t pooped in it yet but I’m sure that’s coming 😆. She just walks through it and back repeatedly and drags dirt into it.

Too cute, I would get a kick out of watching her. Hopefully I can do something Optimus will like and use. Optimus does like the

I can’t get enough of watching her and her pond. She’s in it constantly in out and back again.

This nurse in me has wondered if she’s diabetic with how much she drinks! 😆
