Connecticut Vet needed - others retired

Hello!

I’m looking for a new reputable vet for my Red Footed tortoise. He previously saw Dr. Pieper in Stratford who was brilliant but just retired. On searching, Dr. Milo in Stratford appears to be retired as well.

Does anyone know of any other than the Canton vet listed?

The tortoise forum led me to Dr. pieper many years ago and I’m hoping it will help again!

This is about an hour and 10 minutes away or so from you, but Jeremy Sabatini (the vet) is a good one who owns many tortoises himself and used to be a volunteer at the Bronx Zoo Reptile Department.

Curious to know if you took your tortoise to Dr. Sabatini at Pleasantville Animal Hospital as I suggested in February.

If not, did you find any reptile vet yet?

I have not yet, but I did make note thank you for the suggestion! I was inquiring with someone who knows the staff at yalesville veterinary hospital in Wallingford if they were experienced but have not yet heard

This may save you some time waiting for a response. That vet practice is huge! Only one of the vets at Yalesville Vet Hospital appears to have had any real experience with exotics. Her name is Dr. Kayla Sands.

If you want someone who actually knows tortoises and keeps and breeds them himself, I would still recommend Jeremy Sabatini.
