Very humid here today with zero air movement. I dragged the still-wet rugs back into the garage where the dehumidifiers have a better chance of drying them out before they rot than Mother Nature does!

Still pondering MGs task. A creeper of sorts even homemade would get you closer. I shudder to think of you being able to crouch under there. Are you a little person, like a real little person? Maybe this is one of those times that you phone a friend with long strong arms? That's a terrible place to remove a tranny, you already knew that but i get working with what we have available too. Thinking abstract.....hiring a street mechanic could work out very well. Every area has guys that travel with tools to do brake jobs etc. Hiring one to remove a couple of bolts might be prudent? Just find someone who people can vouch for.

I think the guys who get paid to do it are standing on the ground, with the truck up in the air . . looking straight at the problem bolts...
Wish I lived closer, I am sure @jeff kushner is thinking the same thing. If he got up on my roof to do some work when it was sunny and 95°. I am sure he would crawl under your truck.
Hope you get it fixed soon.

So, I took a couple of days off to do some farm work, and Cleaning Bird Cages today. My old partner at work is coming over tomorrow, after my Lung function test @ Kaiser. We were a team at work, my supervisor would throw the tough jobs at us. He's the best mechanic that I personally know, we will brain storm. A lil Rust buster, heat from a propane torch . . . My neighbor across the street is a contractor with some heavy equipment, He has a "Mobile Mechanic" that works on his diesels. He said he could give him a call to stop by and give his opinion, and possibly take a shot at it . . . thinking High torque impact . . . 500fp+.
Harbor Freight has a 1/2 drive Metric Swivel Impact socket set , but it is out of stock at the moment. My brain is in it, But my body ain't cooperating.
I ain't gonna let some stinkin bolt get the best of this gal!

Dear Lyn,

After accompanying my poor pupils in an exam centre with no fan and heading back to the shop in an uncomfortable bus I have decided to leave tonight's rehearsal.

I have just emailed the church where the exams are held and I am also informing the exam board because I am concerned that someone could collapse.
