image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg I just received a two month old RF on Tuesday. I keep it in an 8x8 outdoor enclosure with an attached 4x4 insulted heated house during the day. The first day it ate well. The last two days it wasn't interested. It ate very little mango today. Upon inspection of the enclosure I noticed it's been devouring the hosta's I have planted. It also ate a sweet bay magnolia leaf and a tender water oak leaf that fell in the enclosure from near by trees. Am I going to have problems if it's full before I can feed it the recommended leafy greens? I also planted marigolds, day lily, and Aloe Vera. Thanks for advice in advance.

Hi Matt. Nice looking little guy you have there! If he's eating the weeds in your yard, let him go at it! Those weeds are twice as good for him as anything we can really give them. Just keep throwing out some food daily and he'll be fine. No worries what so ever!

That's also a great little enclosure you've got going there! Do your best to keep the heated part full of humidity, I noticed you live in Louisiana so that shouldn't be a huge problem, but just keep an eye out for those especially dry days.

Thanks for the reply. That makes me feel better knowing that. The heated house has a lid that you can't see in the pic. I have several inches of cypress mulch and sphagnum moss that I mist down in it. I use a seedling heat pad under the substrate and an oil heater both attached to a thermostat to keep the temps in the 80's. When you open the lid the humidity hits you in the face like a wet towel. The meter was reading 85%. Does this sound ideal?
