I had planned to end Speedy my 7 year old Russian Tortoise brumation today based on duration and the month. This coincided with a lovely spring sunny day in the UK.
I prepared him in Nov and then he brumated in my garage since the start of December, I checked on him throughout. When I opened him up he was wide awake on top of the straw. I soaked him and prepared his fresh leaves and switched on his prepared enclosure. He is now now munching on fresh leaves and playing on his wheel. Total success and the correct duration.
