My female laid her first ever eggs today. All 5 are in the incubator now they are really big I was surprised. She has been mated by a male so hopefully they are fertile. I have my hobavator set at 32 c and have put a warm sponge in there to help with humidity.

I had my 3 females xrayed today to make sure they werent holding any eggs before I hibernate them. One of my females is carrying 5 eggs they are fine and ready to be laid. What is the best way to make a nesting site? has anyone got any pics of their normal sites?

I know you are supposed to replace these lamps after 6months because the UV affect weakens but if I'm only using the lamp 3 months in a year is it safe to use the same lamp for 2 years or does the UV weaken when your not using the lamp?
