Hi Tabatha:

What types of food are you offering him?

Put down the food then move quickly out of sight.

Do you know the temp in your setup? Do you happen to have a picture of your enclosure? I wouldn't recommend dusting the food at every meal with supplements. How often do you feed him? You mentioned that he/she was eating well and now isn't eating at all?? How long has this been going on? Do you notice any other issues (he/she looks fine, plastron normal looking, no swelling, going to the bathroom fine?, no runny nose etc)?

under the heat lamp it is in the low 90's the rest is about 75 to 80's i can not post a picture but it is a zoo med tortoise house with cocnut choit bedding very soft for him. I do dust food evry day when i feed him. i just notise it about a doy a so that he was not eating or not eating alot. the only thing is that his shell still is not hard it is soft like leather. yes he goes to bath room and it is normal.

Don't dust his food with D3 every day,for sure. If he has a UVB,the D3 probably isn't needed at all.

Here is what I would recommend - You need to bump up those temperatures about 10 degrees on both the hot and cold ends. I don't think the low 90's in one area of your enclosure are going to cut it as far as helping the tortoise digest it's food properly. I would start there...if you can, get him some sun exposure as often as possible.

His shell should not be soft like that, it likely means he is getting metabolic bone disease. What kind of UV light are you using? I would definitely try to get him natural sunlight if you can.

Can you put mazuri in his with his greens every day? Does he ever go out in the sun? The sun might help him feel better. I would stop the calcium indefinitely, maybe he has some kidney stones from all that calcium.

What type of UV bulb are you using? Is it one of those coil type compact florescents?
