a cut on my tortoise side mouth

so today i noticed my tortoise opening his mouth, i took a closer look and noticed a cut. where i live we dont have any vet that is specialized with tortoises so i kept him away from his mate and im trying to treat it with water as last time he had a cut on his leg and cleaning it daily with water helped him heal.

im not sure if this is normal, or maybe something sharp in his enclosure caused that?

I don't think there's anything to worry about. Do you have some sort of first aid cream you can put on it? Or maybe Vaseline? Just be sure flies don't lay eggs on the cut. It should be ok.

I applied betadine but i diluted it first then applied it.
