Abnormal Scutes

I've seen pics of some Hermann's with this strange scute pattern.

I'm wondering if this is genetic since it seems less random than traditional extra Scutes and I've seen multiple photos of different torts with the same odd pattern.

I think that's actually my photo...

It's pretty common in Hermann's tortoises although I've only witnessed it on the eastern and Dalmatian subspecies and not the western.

I think it may be genetic as well since I have produced that scute arrangement at low temperature ranges.

I have Eastern tortoise I Think ( or hybrids) and have had one hatchling born with different scutes. I try to have 32 degrees Celsius for the purpose to increase the % for more female.
