walter clowe up.jpg Let the paranoid Mom craziness begin! Walters eyes are kinda squinty, he rarely opens them good and wide. Plus, he rubs them with his feet a lot. His shell kinda looks like you could get a fingernail inder a square and pull it right off. Is this part of growing up? I’m terrified I’m going to kill this tiny little guy! I tried to get video, but I’m tech tarded and can’t figure it out on my phone. Close ups of his majesty it is lol

His third eyelid is super visible in the front all the time, so I guess not so much squinty lol Pics of other babies I see don’t have so much third eyelid showing.

I've been reading a bit more, and looking at pics of him from 4 days ago when I got him. The 3rd eyelid is definitely pulled up more than it was then. I'm thinking I should take him out when I mist his enclosure to avoid debris getting in his eyes ( even if that's not the issue, it'll make me feel better) The only other change I have made is I added a Repti Fogger yesterday. Tank is a 50 gal with plywood on top, small hole cut out for the lamp fixture, half covered in aluminum foil to keep in humidity, but not let it get too hot. (I ordered a smaller wattage so I can cover the whole thing) Day time is 160w power sun mercury bulb, and the fogger. Basking Temps 103-108 cool side 79. Humidity around 45-60% depending on how high I turn up the fogger. It makes a creepy thick literal fog, so I don't turn it up all the way.. I feel like it might bug him. Nighttime a 60 w che and the fogger. Humidity 80-84%. Temps still being worked on, I get up a billion times a night and adjust. Temps from 84-93. hole walter house.jpg Walter house.jpg

His shell. The places where the little pieces meet seem to not be as tight a fit as I thought they should be, it looks like there are gaps. I might be making a mountain out of a mole hill, but I have this fantastic group's knowledge to utilize, I figure I should before I drive myself crazy with Dr. Google!side walter.jpg

Those gaps are where they grow! It's completely normal.

Agree with @Big Charlie
your tort is developing a new line of growth. This will thicken and ,as long as your humidity is good, fill out level with the rest of the shell.
