Hi Bryan:

That pyramiding is mainly cosmetic. They look that way because they were kept too dry when they were growing up. Besides looking pretty dirty, they don't look bad to me. If you can afford the price and you really want the tortoises, go for it!

Welcome to the Tortoise Forum!!

May we know where you are?

I bought an adult redfoot earlier this year that is pretty pyramided, love her just the same. Get them in a humid environment and they should be just fine. Good Luck!

Just the way they look - otherwise they both look great. Like said above - if you can afford them I'd go for it.

Get at least one more too. Trios or more do much better than pairs.

My boy has a bit of pyramiding too. He came to me that way, and the vet said he should be fine as long as I keep his environment humid from here on out. I think those might be a LITTLE worse than his, but if so, it isn't by much. I would think they would be ok as long as you take proper care of them. They're totally worth it anyway. *grin*

Same here, my Nahnie has a little pyrimiding but i just keep her humid now that i have her, I would get them. They are incredibly intelegent and seek attention.

Everybody has talked about the pyramiding. My question is, are these a male/female or what?
