AC Question

I have a free standing standalone ac unit with the drain hose. I bought it for my daughter to use last year. It is very loud compared to the window unit.....but it does work well.

My mom has one. She has the mobile home type crank out windows. My sister does too. My mom's has the drain hose but my sister's has the tray.
If you elevate the portable ac (on a table, etc) you can use a bucket to gather the water.
I have a panel that I place into my partially open window that has an opening for the air discharge chute and one for the drain.
I need to raise the unit higher than that opening for it to drain

Yes, that will for sure work. Those units are so heavy though, at least the one my mom has.
