Hello!
I have been working on a nice home for my baby Hermann's Tortoise Charlie! I am just having trouble with the humidity. How do I make/keep it humid in his home?

I have posted a picture of Charlie in his home. Please let me know what I can do!
Thanks! :)

The bi fold mesh tops are awesome. I actually just use duct tape to achieve the amount of humidity I want to maintain, a little coverage or a lot depending on circumstances. great for fixing light fixtures to as well.

Have the local hardware store cut a piece of Plexiglas to cover the open area(Take careful measurements). leave a corner for uvb light since uvb doesn't penetrate glass. all your worries will be gone. keep coolest temp at 80 or above 24/7 to reduce risk of RI. Dump a cup of water in the corners to increase humidity if necessary. Not a fan of those humidity checkers. notoriously wrong. digital ones at hardware store are better and still cheap.plexi.png

I am trying the foil method, cover the top with foil and pray. You could also mist twice daily, which I also do.

Just two of my methods for what they're worth.

***. I love when they look 'tidy' enough to put anywhere...here is the closed chamber method I'm using. It's too shallow for anything but burmese mountain Tort babies but fits perfect as a table in my living room (for now they're growing so fast). Keeps humidity at 90 SOOO easily...
