So , I decided to get into tortoises a couple months ago and did a lot of research before I purchased them but still have a few questions . I decided to get sulcatas as i have a very large property . How active should they be at 2.5 inches ? I'm keeping them in my snake building that stays 82 degrees year round and take all of them to their outside pen for a few hours a day when weather permits , is this ok for them ? I've been using laser temp guns for years but what should my torts body temp be ? What is the best bedding ? I'm using 50/50 mix of Eco earth and sand with a very large feeding tray . Also, they need a basking area of at least 100 if you don't already have one.
