Sorry for all the questions but here's another one. On one of the caresheets I noticed that Mulberry leaves are a good staple for torts. I have lots of Mullberry chow that I use to feed silkworms. Would that stuff be ok to feed?

Hm-m-m..."Mulberry Chow" Is this a product you can buy, like in a pellet? Might be worth looking into.

According to a Chameleon care forum, one recipe for commercial Mulberry Chow (which you can get as either a powder that you rehydrate or a paste that you refrigerate and squeeze out as needed) is:

"Ingredients: main component of artificial silkworm diet.

Mulberry Leaf Powder 1 lb. 13 oz.
Degreasing Soy Flour 1 lb. 12 oz.
Mulberry Meal 10.2 oz
Maize Meal 6.1 oz."

The "Degreasing Soy Flour" and the "Maize Meal" are NOT likely to be good for tortoises (and almost ALL soy and maize grown in the US now are GMO. Since they already list "Mulberry Leaf Powder" I have no idea what "Mulberry Meal" could be.)
I'm pretty sure I wouldn't use it.
