hi
I have a male and female graeca. the male is very aggressive, but when I separate them they both are disoriented. The female seems stressed at times. I've had them since they were babies and now they are about 4 years old. The male never leaves her alone. I've read this could cause damage to the female. He is a menace...what should I do?

My male Iberian is the same way...so h*rny the crack of dawn isn't safe!

For the time being, seperate them.

If you want to breed tortoises, you probably will want to get at least 2 or more extra females, so that Romeo will share his attention 3 (or more) ways...he's got STRONG urges! Until you do get more females, seperate them

OTOH, if you don't want to breed 'em, just set up a permenant enclosure for each, or trade Romeo off for another female...females generally get along better.

Hope this helps.
