I agree. Even in dark soil, water drains rather quickly. What I would do is dig a hole, size it with a drain pan, pour quick set cement in it. When it's done, water can be put into it. I've already done that, but my torts don't use it, not even to drink. I want a muddy bath. There's something attractive about all that mud on the body, LŌL. I'll just have to import a hole from Greg's farm...
Then what's the trick? Why don't Greg's mud holes drain out right away?

Can't get over those massive bodies and tiny heads! It seems that they are rather gentle giants by nature, true?
