wow, i just spend 2 and half days going through this thread and it was worth the carpal tunnel syndrome. and when that subsides, i'm gonna re-read it again. mesmerizing. educational. really spectacular. really. just... wow.

also, i'm late to the game, but couldn't help but notice this earlier comment...

My first tortoise was a hatchling sulcata purchased in 1980 for $250 from Glades Herp! I was so excited, took me forever to save the money.

so, um, are you telling me that a lil sulcata hatchling was your "gateway" tortoise to your lovely aldabras... [looking at my lil Ryan]. TFO is really a support group for a special kind of addict, isn't it? i love it here.

* Yes, it was the start to my addiction and gateway to my extreme passion that enticed me to begin my aldarba breeding program.

Yes, your so right about us addicts. The only problem is when you need the support to talk you out of getting yet another tortoise, this isn't the place:D the members here will surely support you getting another one though, ya:)

The apple looks so tiny next to him! You've got more guts than I would holding onto that little thing while he was biting it ;)

Is Alfa fitting in better now with Hommer and Sampson, or are they still mad he's taking up most of the action ;)?

* That is one of those big red delicious apples, we are both just very big, lol! Yes, very careful, they can for sure hurt you if they accidentally mistake your finger for the snack!
