I purchased a few different types of seeds to plant for next year. I live in Northern Nevada. Purchased dandelion, zucchini, wild lettuce, sweet pepper, and other types of lettuces. I also wanted to purchase alfalfa to grow. Instead of getting alfalfa seeds I recieved ( already processed) Organic Alfalfa Herb! My question is can I feed this to my leopard hatchlings ( 9 months)? If so how do I do it? Do I just mix it with there other food?

As I understand it, alfalfa herb is essentially alfalfa hay that has literally been plucked...you only get the growth...no stems! It is an appetite stimulant, so it could be good for finicky eaters. It could be used in conjunction with Mazuri or Grassland...as you said...it's already been processed so it can't be sown. It'll add some flavor and a little protein...but very little fiber. However, I have to say that there has been a long running prejudice against alfalfa hay for torts...I would use it on occasion, probably not a regular thing...but now and then would be fine.

I will give it a try today. Will mix it in with a few things and see how it goes. Will try Mazuri and see if they like it. Will add it to there vegs on one tray and plain on the other side to see wwhere they go. It does have a pungent smell so I will use very little at first. Thanks, will let you know.
