Normally, a trip down the Upper Potomac River between Maryland and Virginia one would see a ton of turtles basking in the sun, but here on 11 November 2014, already way too cold. So we enjoyed the other scenic views, white tailed dear, American Bald Eagles, Ospreys, large catfish, carp and bass. This trip started at Point of Rocks Maryland and ended twenty miles south at Algonkan Park, in Sterling, Virginia. A good 8.5 hours of paddling! Low waters, coupled with a strong head wind really slowed us down!
