Anyone know how to tell the difference?

You won't find anyone who has any reliable way of doing so........

I've seen both animals from Guyana and Peru, and I don't see any difference.......Every now and then, you'll get a 26" Yellowfoot out of Guyana......They're from the southern tip of Guyana, where the animals can get that big before Humans get to them.......

Well... the range of the Yellow-foot pretty much IS the Amazon Basin, and genetics research by Vargas Ramirez (http://www.tortoiselibrary.com/bibliography.com) has shown little DNA variation within the Yellow-foots, so there probably is not really a race or group of giants that are too much different than the usuals.

Even Red-foots can run in really big sizes and there does not yet seem to be much rhyme or reason to it other than the Southern group tends to get the biggest overall.
